Rare Wings in Animal Jam!

There is a wide variety of items available in Animal Jam, be it clothing items or den items. Some items are cheap and easily obtainable, while others are no longer available in any of the shops in the game. Because of that, those items become quite rare. Some of the rarest items in AJ are the wings, which is a clothing item that is worn on the animal’s back.

Even though there are many different wings, there are quite a few that are pretty rare. Today, we are going to take a look at some of the rare wings in Animal Jam. This list consists of wings that are no longer available in any of the in-game shops, and some that can still be obtained.

Original Animal Jam Wings

The Original Wings, or simply called Wings, were released back during the Beta Testing phase of AJ. During that time, it was sold at Jam Mart Clothing. The wings look like that of a dragon, or a bat. There is a sharp claw on each wing, as well as spines and three flaps. There are a total of ten color variations of the Original Wings, which also includes two Rare ones.

Rare Original Wings

This is the first rare variation of the Original Wings. They were released during the Leap Year Party, in February 2012. These wings only come in one color scheme, which is mainly black, with white and red flaps. You can see what it looks like in the picture below.

Rare Jamaaliday Wings

The second rare variation of the Original Wings is the Rare Jamaaliday Wings. These were released on December 16, 2013, as a Rare Item Monday. It has the Jamaalidays theme, as well as a similar color scheme; white lines, red and green flaps and claws.

AJ Freedom Wings

The Freedom Wings were released during July 2011, as part of the Freedom Day event. It was sold at Jam Mart Clothing. These wings were re-released on June 22, 2018. As the Name already suggests, they have the Freedom Day theme; red lines, white flaps and blue claws.

Epic Dragon Wings

The Epic Dragon Wings is a recurring item, usually appears during the Night of the Phantoms event. They were originally released on October 1, 2013, and sold at Epic Wonders. The wings consists of one solid color, and have a skeletal pattern on it, which has a different color. There are a total of eight different color varieties of the Epic Dragon Wings.

Gingerbread Wings

The Gingerbread Wings were first released on December 25, 2014, as part of the Jamaalidays event. It was re-released a couple of times after that, during later Jamaalidays events. These wings look quite different compared to the Original Wings, with leaf-shaped wings. On those wings, there are gingerbread patterns, swirls and candy buttons. This item comes in eight different varieties.

Rare Scary Bat Wings in AJ

The Rare Scary Bat Wings were first released in October 2010, sold at Jam Mart Clothing. The design of these wings are similar to the Original Wings. The lines of the wings are black, while the flaps have a grey and dark-grey color. These wings come in only one color variation.

Angel Wings

The Angel Wings will help make your animal look like an angel! Released in 2011, they were originally sold at Jam Mart Clothing. However, on March 29, 2012, they were moved to the Horses Only Party. You can still find them there. The wings look quite thick, have scales and feathers on them and they are folded. There are a total of nine different Angel Wings varieties.

Dragonfly Wings

If you are looking for unique wings, you can’t go wrong with the Dragonfly Wings. These wings were released on November 11, 2012 and sold at Epic Wonders. The amazing thing about these wings is that they resemble a dragonfly on their own. The center looks like the body, and it has four wings; two on each side. There are a total of nine different color variations of these wings.

Enchanted Faerie Wings

There are also some promotional wings, such as the Enchanted Faerie Wings. These wings were released in November 2016, and can only be obtained by redeeming a code that comes with the Dress up Friends playset. Their appearance is quite unique, like a pair of fairy wings. The lines of the wings are dark blue, and the inside of the wings have pink and light-blue stripes. It also has yellow dots animated around it. These wings come in only one variation.

Animal Jam Mystical Faerie Wings

The Mystical Faerie Wings is another one of those promotional wings. They were first released in May 2016, and is obtained by redeeming a code that comes with the Sunny Bunny and Pet Ducky Jazwares Toys. The Mystical Faerie Wings are identical to the Enchanted Faerie Wings in design. The lines are a red color, while the lines inside the wings are orange and yellow.

Rare Butterfly Wings

The Butterfly Wings were first released during the Beta Testing phase of Animal Jam. They have an awesome design, like the wings of an actual butterfly. The Butterfly Wings come in a total of nine different variations, which also includes the rare variation.

The Rare Butterfly Wings were released as a Rare Item Monday, on December 30, 2013. These wings have a blue outline, and magenta swirls on the inside of the wings.

Butterfly Water Wings

Speaking of promotional items, the Butterfly Water Wings is quite a unique item. These wings were first released in November 2016, only obtainable by redeeming a code that comes with the Dress Up Friends Multipack Set. They look slightly different compared to the other butterfly wings. A dark-blue outline, light-blue designs on the inside of the wings. When worn, animated sparkles appear around the wings.

Elegant Butterfly Wings

The last item in this list, the Elegant Butterfly Wings, is also a promotional item. It was released in May 2016, and can only be obtained by redeeming a code that comes with the Cool Koala and Pet Pony Jazwares Toys. The Elegant Butterfly Wings are somewhat similar to the Butterfly Water Wings. They have a purple outline, dark-blue and light-blue designs on the inside. When worn, they show a pink sparkling effect.
